Sue Willman is a London-based practising lawyer and an academic at King’s College, member of the Climate Law and Governance Centre. Leading the King’s Human Rights and Environmental Law Clinic she collaborates with civil society partners mostly in the global south on legal initiatives at the intersection of human rights and the environment. She co-founded the Environmental Rights Recognition Project, with Harry Balfour-Lynn which has produced a series of briefings on the right to a healthy environment. She has a particular interest in Rights of Nature approaches and rivers and has co-produced A Rights of Nature Toolkit on rivers. She was appointed to the Climate Change Working Group of the Law Society of England and Wales and is a trustee of London Mining Network which supports communities affected by mining.
