Manon Rouby

Manon is an environmental lawyer based in Scotland, UK. She recently graduated with an LL.M in Global Environmental Law and Governance from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. She has acted as a consultant in Environmental Law at Living Law, Scotland and an Executive Assistant with the Climate Change Specialist Group with the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law. With the World’s Youth for Climate Justice (WYCJ), she is also the academic coordinator and part of the Steering Team for the organisation and contributed to the European front and advocacy Campaign at COP 26 in Glasgow.

She also collaborated as a research fellow/assistant with Strathclyde Centre for Environmental Law and Governance (SCELG) for the Climate Change Litigation Initiative (C2LI) and COVID-19 Island Insights Project. This has included writing and summarising country reports which have been subject to climate change litigation and developing policy recommendations for post-pandemic recovery measures which focus on islands sustainability in the application of the SDGs. On the latter, she had the opportunity to present the final report on the Island Insights Project at an official side event at COP26 hosted by SCELG.
